Adhurim Haxhimusa was born in Ferizaj. He got his bachelor degree in Management and Informatics from the University of Prishtina in 2008.
He obtained his master degree in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) in 2012. Adhurim did his doctoral studies in Economics with a special focus on energy markets at the WU Vienna.
During his doctoral studies he has been working as teaching and research associate at the same university, where he taught the microeconomics course. After his doctoral studies he got a post-doc position at the same university.
Adhurim got a tenure track position from the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons in Switzerland in September 2019. He published in various peer-reviewed journals in the field of energy and environmental economics.
